Ziad Nakad, the Lebanese designer renowned for his opulent haute couture creations, has turned a fresh page in his career with a bold and youthful Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Presented on the runways of Paris, this latest offering redefines the Nakad aesthetic, introducing structured silhouettes, sensual cuts, and contemporary materials while maintaining the artistry and craftsmanship that have long been his hallmark.

For SS25, Nakad introduced 37 looks that blend elements of rock glam with haute couture sophistication. "My latest collection is more structured - there's more skin, a bit of femme fatale energy - and I've introduced a new material: sequined nets, which appear in some of my dresses as a homage to my younger clients who are increasingly visiting my atelier", the designer explains.
While maintaining his signature voluminous silhouettes, intricate embroidery, and crystal embellishments, this collection embraces a more fitted and modern interpretation of femininity. The wedding gown, a staple in Nakad's couture shows, is one of his most understated designs in recent years - minimalist yet breathtaking, a nod to evolving bridal trends.
Staying true to the essence of haute couture, Nakad draws inspiration from nature, naming his collection Iris after the delicate yet powerful flower that symbolizes beauty and femininity. Soft pastels, blush pinks, royal blacks, and shimmering bronzes dominated palette, while floral 3D appliques and metallic petals accents evoke a blooming garden in full splendor.
"This season, I took a bold step in beginning the next chapter for my label", Nakad shares. "I want my brand to strike the perfect balance between classic and modern, always keeping in mind the diverse women who seek my creations.
Recognizing the changing landscape of haute couture and the evolving preferences of his clientele, Nakad is set to expand his creative universe. With plans to launch a ready-to-wear and bridal line, as well as unveiling another couture collection in July 2025, his maison is poised for an exciting evolution.
