Prada has once again proven its commitment to sustainability and storytelling with the launch of its 2025 Re-Nylon collection. Partnering for the third time with National Geographic CreativeWorks, the Italian luxury houses unveil a series of four documentary film featuring acclaimed actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Sadie Sink, alongside environmental advocates and experts. This campaign showcases Prada's dedication to combining fashion, education, and innovation, marking a milestone in the evolution of luxury.


Since its debut in 2019, Prada's Sea Beyond program, created in collaboration with UNESCO's Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, has sought to raise awareness about ocean preservation. This year's Re-Nylon campaign extends that mission, spotlighting the dangers facing marine ecosystems and advocating for meaningful change. The regenerated nylon used in the collection is crafted from ocean and landfill waster, embodying Prada's commitment to creating sustainable luxury without compromising on quality or aesthetics.


"The ultimate goal of the Sea Beyond educational program is to inspire young people, making them aware of the importance of the importance of the ocean and the need to preserve it", said Lorenzo Bertelli, Prada's head of corporate social responsibility. "They are the real drivers of change".

In the campaign's first film, Benedict Cumberbatch explores the Arctic waters of Norway's Lofoten Archipelago, alongside actress and environmental advocate Valentina Gottlieb and marine expert Carl Hojman. The episode delves into the devastating effects of plastic pollution and ghost fishing nets on fragile Arctic ecosystems.


Meanwhile, Sadie Sink, known for her roles in Stranger Things and The Whale, travels to the vibrant marine landscapes of Mexico. With the help of local experts, she highlights the beauty and challenges of preserving marine biodiversity, emphasizing the importance of collective action in protecting our oceans.


These visually stunning documentaries bring viewers beneath the surface, offering a rare glimpse into the threats facing our planet's most vital ecosystems.

Notably, 1% of the proceeds from the Re-Nylon for Sea Beyond collection are donated to projects supporting marine preservation, reinforcing the brand's commitment to sustainable practices.


Beyond the campaign, Prada's Sea Beyond Initiative has reached over 35,000 students globally, fostering a deeper understanding of ocean literacy. The program also includes unique projects like Venice's "Kindergarten of the Lagoon", which introduces preschoolers to the wonders of the lagoon ecosystem through outdoor education.


Expanding its reach, Sea Beyond now supports scientific research dissemination and humanitarian projects dedicated to the ocean, cementing Prada's role as a trailblazer in sustainable luxury.
