In a seamless transition from behind-the-scenes to center stage, Sarah Bonello, a seasoned name in fashion and public relations, is set to make her mark with her debut collection, The Park. After two decades of amplifying other brands, Bonello is launching a line of luxury essentials designed to elevate and complement the work of her peers. The Park, available for preorder now, promises to be a sophisticated addition to any wardrobe, blending high-quality craftsmanship with versatile design.

 

The collection features a curated selection of base layers designed to enhance the sartorial offerings of prominent designers. From skirted leggings and sleek catsuits to chic bodysuits and slim-fit T-shirt, each piece is crafted in timeless hues of black, navy and camel. These essentials are engineered to serve as the perfect underlayers for iconic pieces like a Chanel sweater or a Saint Laurent jacket, offering both practicality and style.

 

Bonello’s journey to launching The Park is nothing short of inspiring. Her move from New York to Los Angeles during the pandemic market a pivotal shift in her career. Although she initially trained at the Fashion Institute of Technology with aspirations of designing, Bonello, realized her true passion lay in supporting and enhancing the work of others. Observing the artistry of legends such as Dries Van Noten and Karl Lagerfeld, she envisioned a line that would serve as an elegant extension to their creations.

 

The collection is deeply personal to Bonello. It was during the pandemic that she rediscovered an old pair of fold-over skirted leggings that had become a stable in her wardrobe. The leggings’ ability to adapt to her body, regardless of changes in size or activity level, inspired her to create The Park. “They were threadbare, but they made me feel so comfortable”, Bonello recalls. “I wanted to recreate that feeling for others, with a modern and luxurious twist.”

 

The Park’s debut piece, the Joy skirted legging, became a hero style after Bonello wore it to Paris Fashion Week. The response was overwhelming, with admirers stopping her at every turn. This positive feedback cemented her decision to launch the collection, which show now produces with a strong commitment to sustainability. Crafted in Los Angels, the garments utilize micro Tencel and recycled elastane, ensuring minimal environmental impact while offering substantial support and comfort.

The collection’s branding – a delicate bow emblem – reflects Bonello’s personal touch and her penchant for detail. “I’m a bow girl”, she notes, explaining that the emblem represents both elegance and whimsy. Prices for The Park range from $210 to $500, with pieces available for purchase on theparkfashion.com and at Elyse Walker and Switch stores.

 

Preorders are now open, with select items expected to deliver in September, including the Joy skirted legging, Lia baby T-shirt, Elizabeth long-sleeve midi dress, and Donna bodysuit. Additional styles, including the Liat mock neck bodysuit and a tube dress, will follow in October, with festive pieces arriving in time for the holidays.

 

Bonello’s vision for The Park is clear: to provide versatile, luxurious essentials that simplify and elevate everyday dressing. “I wanted to create something that would answer the question of what to wear with pieces from any designer, whether they’re from H&M or Chanel”, she explains.
